Life in Portugal as we know it

magoito

We arrived to Portugal for the first time in 2012.

We were absolutely amazed and totally ready for exploring this wonderful country.

Through surfing and tracking…

If you ask me one place where you should go outside of Lisbon, I will say: Carrapateira.

But I can tell you more about that, later.

We speak Portuguese more or less by now. Well, constantly improving.

Our kids went to Portuguese state schools, I will write more about that in another post.

But lets just start at the very beginning.

We are a Hungarian family 2 parents, 2 kids, and 2 pets (a dog and a cat).

We have set off to our biggest journey ever, with a Renault Clio, a dog and our two children.

My husband was already in Lisboa, working and preparing our new life.

Hereby, I would like to say thanks to who helped us to get here where we are today.

We love Portugal inside out and we consider this beautiful country our second home.

I am sure you are familiar with the phenomenon, that, once you start to travel you can’t really stop. I mean … you can try, but in your head you are always on the road.

We came up with this idea of doing courses, workshops, camps… where like-minded people can come together and share their knowledge.

We organised two promotional camps in the summer of 2017 which went well, but we had to return to our home country at the end of the summer.

We have spent a few months with homeschooling in Portugal in 2018 which went ok but we decided no to continue for now. I am writing in some posts about that too.

Maybe you are considering moving abroad, maybe to Portugal or somewhere else… maybe you are already on the same kinda road or you just want to read about some of our adventures.

This blog will be bilingual in English and in Hungarian about everything that comes to my mind.

Do not hesitate to support me with your donation or feedback in comments or messages.

I gave numbers to all my photos so that you can order from them if you want. I have all in Raw format which means you can have a nice size quality print or canvas on your wall or in any other form; printed on furnitures indoor decoration elements for entire walls etc… the sky is the limit.

This is enough for an introduction I  guess.

Abraços = Hugs (in Portuguese)
