Our initial plan was to go to Morocco, however, due to weather reasons we opted to go for a weekend surf trip to the South of Portugal because it looked more sunny there then in certain parts of Morocco.
It was such a good decision. Fantastic weather, great waves and yummy food.
We really needed this short getaway.
Our first stop was Praia de São Torpes near Sines. It is a nice surf spot with a restaurant and a surf school. A great stop with a camper van too, many stay in the parking lot, facing the ocean.
It was a beautiful sunset surf session

We didn’t have an accommodation pre-booked so I quickly booked our stay for the night, Good Feeling hostel in Raposeira. I can only recommend this place. Sweet, close to two very nice beaches, staff is really kind and it has everything you need, plus it’s affordable.
As the name suggests, you will continue your way with nothing but good feelings after spending a night here. After our hearty breakfast on the sun we headed down to Praia do Zavial where we found even more sun, surfers and tiny but nice waves.
Afterwards we went to check out the Farol in Sagres. It was very windy so we just took a picture and went on our way to Lagos.

I know, it is a classic, but it is so beautiful I cannot get bored of this view. This was taken at Praia do Camilo. We thought the restaurant will have food for us but sadly we were late because off season they only have the kitchen open in lunch and dinner hours. So we went to another restaurant near Praia dos Estudantes. It is a really good place, with the friendliest staff, reasonable prices and great food. Whenever you are around don’t miss it. The name is Pinhão.
We had a little walk on the beach and had to start our way back towards Lisboa as our trip had come to an end.
