If you have been following me for the past years, you might know, I have been to Barcelona quite a few times. However, for some reason I have never been to the Miró foundation before. Probably, due to lack of time. Anyway, this last road trip gave me the opportunity to go, and I was incredibly happy to include it in the itinerary.

The Miró museum is on Montjuic mountain, maybe 15 minutes drive from the center, or roughly 30 minutes by public transport. If you are by car, stop for the view on the way up, it’s splendid.

Parking is a bit limited at the top but possible.

Inside the facility another world awaits you with Miró´s wonderful creations. His versatility is beyond comprehension. I love his cartoon-like, playful characters.

On the second floor of the museum the exhibition extends to the roof-top that once again offers you a splendid view of the surrounding area.
